A Conductive Slip Ring (also known as a Rotary Joint) is a device capable of transmitting electrical signals and power in a rotating mechanical system. Its principle is to transmit electrical signals and power through electrical contact between two rotating parts. Conductive slip rings usually consist of a pair of contact surfaces and a pair of insulating materials, where one pair of surfaces is fixed and the other pair rotates with the rotation of the rotating part. The current enters the slip ring through a conductor in the rotating part, then passes through the contact surface to the other rotating part, and then returns to the circuit through another conductor.

The junction box is used to connect the conductive slip ring and the external circuit.
